Skin care haul

I nipped out to collect a few food items from M&S on Saturday and could not resist a look in boots and Asda whilst I was at the shopping park. I picked up one of my holy grail item and lots of new bits to try. Oh and a funny story about a beauty sales assistant in M&S.

Boots

These items were absolute bargains due to discount and offers. I love a deal, firstly this range is 1/3 off and I had two vouchers. One voucher gave me an extra 100 point on my reward card for purchasing a Botanics product and I had another voucher that gave me a free packet of face wipes. I never use face wipes on my face, but I will make use of this for wiping my hands or removing swatches etc.

Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm 65ml £9.99 down to £5.99
This for me is an holy grail, I absolutely love it. It has worked wonders on my skin and I now have less break outs. I really notice the difference if I miss a day or try new balms. The cloth you get in the box is not great, I tend to use a fluffy flannel instead. I recommend you try this balm especially as its on offer at the moment, in fact I will be buying back ups soon.

Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover 150ml £3.99 down to £2.66
I tried the old packaged eye make up remover from this range a while back and loved it, I am not sure if this is similar? We will soon see, I tend to go for the dual formula's as they work so well for me removing my make up quickly without the need to rub.

Botanics Cleansing Face Wipes 25 Wipes £3.49 Free with voucher
I will use these for removing swatches and hand wiping only, They smell fresh and are none drying on my skin.

Asda

Cosmetic Cotton Wool Buds 130 £1.00
I have seen so many Beauty Gurus on you tube recently using Cotton Buds with a pointed end. This really intrigued me, I have found them to be so much easier to use if I have made an error when applying make up. And for a pound well I am happy with that.

Nivea In Shower Moisturiser Skin Conditioner 250ml £2.49
This is a new release in the UK, I am hoping its similar to my beloved Lush Ro's Argan. I have just run out of that, now I know this isn't scented with Roses cue sad face :( but it it works in a similar way I may be able to replace?? We will see, also I am hoping my husband will give this a go. He is loving the moisturising spray I brought last week.

M&S Beauty Hall
Whilst purchasing my groceries from M&S I could not resist a visit to their Beauty Hall. I really wanted to try Rens Cleansing Balm, unfortunately they had about every sample but that one! The sales assistant made me chuckle, she asked what skin type I was? I replied I'm combination, oily T Zone and is prone to break outs. So she replied oh yes you need high hydration products! I replied no, and explained again about my skins needs, she just could not get it. This made me chuckle, she gave me a sample for about every skin type, I will be passing the ones that don't meet my needs to a loved one. Here's what she gave me.......

Ren Ultra Moisture Day Cream 5ml
Ren Frankincense Revitalising Night Cream 5ml
Ren Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream 5ml
Ren Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk 5ml
Ren Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel 5ml

Have you brought any goodies this weekend? I would love to see what your purchases you have made, what are you enjoying at the moment? I am waiting for the new Chanel limited edition make up collection to be released in the next week or so. I have me eye on quite a few items. So if you love to read about high end purchases look out for my post.

  1. Nice haul! I haven't bought anything from Boots Botanics since they got re-packaged so I must take a closer look at them. That SA was pretty generous with the REN samples wasn't she - lucky you! x
