The difference this product makes to my eye make up is amazing, not only does it completely wipe out any discolouration I have on my eye lids it also provides an even base for my eye shadow. Painterly is an excellent colour match for me, I am quite fair skinned so if you are as well this would be great for you too.
I take small amounts on my ring finger and pat onto the lid area, until I have an even base. The result is a matte cover, I leave it a few moments to dry well before I go in with my selected eye shadow. I tend to apply my eye brow products whilst painterly dries. Its the perfect routine for me, I find my eye shadow looks the same when I arrive home from work as it did when I left out in the morning. I have zero creasing and no loss of eye shadow pigmentation. This is a miracle product!!!
Do you have a long wearing eye make up routine? I would love to hear about it if you do. As you know I like to try new products.

I normally use Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer and that is brilliant. I'll have to have a look at this too as I do love MAC!

I really want this! I have the rubensque one and I love it but it's not as neutral a base obviously :)
ReplyDeleteHeard so much about this.. I am an NC42 so I was eyeing up Rubensque or Soft Ochre but then when in the drugstore I found that NYX does an eyebase too.. not as pretty as MAC but I want to try that one as it's $4.50!!! :)

I dug this out of my drawer the other day. I love it. X
ReplyDeleteI love Painterly! I don't wear eyeshadow everyday but I always make sure I've got some Paintetly on to blank out discolouration.

I wear Painterly quite a lot but my eyeshadow still creases! I think its the shadow more than the paint pot that means it creases though...so annoying! x
