Boots mini haul

I am in desperate need of some good quality eye brushes, I posted a tweet about this earlier on twitter. 99.9% said of course Mac. I will be taking a look at them the next time I am in town. I had to pay a visit to Boots to collect something for my husband, and somehow a few items slipped into my basket. I could quite easily spend a whole day in Boots looking at make up and swatching up my arms! There are some fabulous offers on at the moment, don't you love a bargain, I certainly do.

Sinfulcolors #Nail Junkie £1.99
As soon as I spotted this I knew how well this polish would compliment my Chanel #Azure. I can imagine painting my ring finger with this pretty glitter at Christmas time. Party time! Sinfulcolor nail polish is a new edition to Boots stores, and an absolute bargain for £1.99. I have heard this range carries over 80 different colours. Every time I go into Boots I notice another new shade. At only £1.99 I find it terribly difficult not to put them into my basket. After viewing the pictures again this does not do this polish justice, it looks blue?? But in real life this is a turquoise, teal, green and simply mesmerising.

Smashbox Brow Tech To Go #Taupe £19.50
This was not a purchase, this was a replacement. I have been loving this pencil since I brought the original a few weeks ago. I nearly cried yesterday when I took the lid off to use it and the nib fell out. It was so strange, it just fell out. I made contact with the kind girls at Smashbox and they asked me to pop in and they would replace it. Excellent customer service, I will certainly be paying them another visit in the future.

N07 Blending Eyeshadow Brush £7.45 (I paid £4.45 I had a £3.00 off voucher)
I have been using this brush for years, I really enjoy using them and try to pick them up when I have a N07 money off voucher. I hear this is similar to the famous Mac #217, I really cant comment on that as I don't own a Mac #217. My only complaint with this brush is you have to be very careful when washing, if I get the brush too wet a few times it will fall to pieces. I have lost a few like that. But for £4.45 I cant really complain.

I wanted to show you the little zip bag, I cut the hanger top thingy off, remove the cardboard inside and I have a brilliant travel brush pouch. I have a few of these now and they work so well. 3-4 brushes can fit in the pouch easily.

Real Techniques Setting Brush £8.99 (offer was buy one and get the second half price)
I am so excited to add this to my Real Techniques collection. I have nothing like it at the moment, the bristle's are very soft and the head is small. I want to use this brush to apply my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder under my eyes or to use with my highlighting powders.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush £9.99 (Offer as above)
I already own this brush and love it, the bristle's are very compact, that's what I like to apply my bases with. I would liken the feel of this brush to my Sigma F80. This brush blows the buffing brush well out of the water in my opinion. I am super happy to have a back up brush.

Well that was an unexpected haul, I could not resist purchasing the brushes with the discounts on offer. I have wanted to try the Setting Brush for a while. I love shopping at Boot's they have some fabulous offers and extra point vouchers on offer. I have built up over £50.00 on my points card again, I already have my heart set on where they will be spent. The most I have ever saved on my points card is over £170.00. My sister and I was able to purchase lots of goodies from YSL, we had the same items but one for each of us! The sales assistant thought it was funny, how similar our tastes are.

I would love to hear your thoughts on Mac brushes, are they really worth the cost. Lets be honest they do cost a lot of money. Or do you prefer other brands?

    1. I do yes, but always use my card all year round and keep saving. I try to buy items when there's an offer on. So I tend to have a back up in my collection :) xx
