Chanel #Superstition

I have been so excited about the arrival of Chanel's new make up collection #Superstition. The launch date was Friday 16th August, I promptly arrived at my local Chanel counter to begin my swatching, oh this makes me rather happy, much more than it should do. I love the editorial pictures for this collection, the model looks sensational. The shades in this collection complement each other so well, I hope I can recreate this for myself. The models eye make up intrigues me, I do hope one of my favourite you tubers film this look. After playing with all the fabulous colours I made my decision's (although I will most likely be picking other items up over the coming days!)

I asked the sales assistant to wrap it in a gift box for me, I want to collect a few more for my beauty room, don't they look so pretty.

Chanel Le Vernis Colour #Mysterious 601 £18.00
As soon as I glanced at this I knew it was coming home with me. It's soooo dark and as the name suggests 'Mysterious'. It's a shade that makes you question the colour, is it green? black? grey? brown? It's described as a deep khaki shade, I can't wait to wear this in the autumn/winter time. Its a cream finish, completely opaque in 2 coats. I love this shade, I can imagine myself alternating this with my beloved Rouge Noir.

Chanel Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour #Mystique  £24.00
A simply perfect creamy lipstick, this looks and feels heavenly on my lips. The colour, well where do I begin? I'm always attracted to this kind of shade, this is described as 'Apricot' shade, to me its more like a peachy pink. The formula is second to none with Chanel lipsticks, I find the Coco Rouge line lasts up to 3-4 hours on my lips, especially if I rub the lipstick into my lips first then apply another layer over the top.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow #Gri-gri £22.00
Let me introduce you to the star of the collection, this is absolutely breath taking. The picture does not do this any justice at all. I took a rub of this and applied it to the back of my hand and well, it took my breath away. I know this sounds dramatic, but believe me it did. I may have to buy a back up for this, that's how much I love it. The formula is different to other Chanel eye shadows, Gri-gri feels soft, smooth even creamy. Oh and the pigment is excellent, a tiny touch with my brush was all it took to cover my eye lid. Now onto the colour, its described as a metallic Taupe, once the light hits it I can see hints of mauve, even pewter. Oh my who ever created this shade deserves a medal.

* Picture does not do this justice sorry *

Here's a swatch of my peachy pink lipsticks all by Chanel, Mystique is the second from the bottom.

There are other items in this collection I like the look of, Creme Blushers are one of them, they are super pigmented. I also like the look of a another polish, oh and a Coco Rouge Shine. I am nipping into town tomorrow so you may be seeing another post crop up soon.

There is something about Chanel, its so special, so appealing and what a luxury. There packaging is so sleek, chic and those little CC send me all funny inside. I want to mention that my dear friend Stacey is partly to blame for this haul, Stacey blogged about this collection a while ago, living in Dubai certainly has its benefits. If you don't already follow Stacey's blog please check her out here. Her blog is amazing, total luxury, high end beautiful products. Its one of the blogs I check each morning before I get up, yes I love it (and her) that much.
