Smashbox Halo Blush

I've seen the Smashbox Halo Blusher being used by my American friends for some time, I felt instantly attracted. I am completely new to the brand Smashbox, I've never tried anything before. I went along to the nearest counter to enquire. I was informed it wasn't available yet, but they booked me in for the launch day. Yipee. I was invited to attend a private demonstration, on arrival I was informed there had been a delay with the launch, only select colours had arrived. The assistant said she had a couple of colours, but not the full range. Can you imagine my happiness when I realised the colour I had my heart set on was there!! Peachy Dream is a Halo Long Wear Blush, and the colour that I wanted.

This is a mineral blush, the packaging is quite different to most other mineral products. It has a built in grinder to provide the correct amount of product you need. I like this innovative idea, although I've seen it before with other brands, I really like the concept.

The coloured area you can see has to be turned to grind the product out. I only turned a teeny bit and you can see the amount that was dispensed. I must remember to use a gentle hand when grinding.

I use a Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply, I tap off the excess product back over the grinder. So all the product I'm not using isn't wasted and sits in the grinder until the next time.

The colour is divine, another perfect peachy pink, I must add this blusher is super pigmented. Once applied to my skin it gives a luminous effect, a lovely flush of colour to my cheeks. It certainly lasts a long time on my skin, I applied yesterday morning and it lasted a good 8-9 hours. There was no patchy wearing to be seen either.

This product should be available at all Smashbox counters now, have you seen them yet? Or purchased? If so what shade did you go for? There is a beautiful pink shade, I may go back to swatch??? The sales assistant gave me travel sizes of their famous Photo Finish Primer and Full Exposure Mascara to try, I wonder what they will be like?

I purchased this item from a Smashbox counter in Boots for £23.
